Seeing her chance to open up to the one person she should have from the start, Valery shares her traumatic past with Cassy. Though her visit was only meant to share her own past with Cassy, Cassy in turn returned the favor by doing the same.

After a restful sleep, Valery found herself recalling the unusual situation she found herself in. Grateful beyond measure for everything that’s been given to her so far, Valery’s inhibitions slowly fade as she even grows comfortable enough to help out.

She learns more of how the other residents came to be in Welhemia’s mansion, further showing Valery just how trusted Welhemia really is.

As the day goes on, Valery comes to a conclusion that leaves her perplexed as she’s left with feelings of gratitude…or was it something else entirely?

Still, Valery wanted to know how someone could be so kind and why she chooses to help those around her. Was it to earn their favor, to make them feel a sense of debt that has to be repaid? These questions will be answered as she spends more time with Welhemia.

A saying that couldn’t be any farther from the truth for those who have aged like fine wine, the younger adults of the modern world live and enjoy their decadence, ignorant of the futility of it all in the face of those who lived their lives honestly.

This is a story of a woman who lived her life with everything she could possibly want, faced with the harsh reality that everything you get in life must be earned. A harsh reality that crashes down on her without warning.

Little Monster Miracle Orphanage (Day 31)

“How are those little ones getting past security? Why do they keep sneaking out of the building where we can’t catch them?” Katy asked frustrated by the lack of control.

“They are clearly emboldened, and more tenacious than we gave them credit for. Everyone knows it’s practically a secret right down to the genetic code of a Kikimora” Fubuki shrugged.

“Regardless they have to stop, the trek is only so safe…I’m just thankful the worse they have to deal with is traffic” Katy sighed.

“Which luckily they were thoroughly taught to look both ways. Come on~ cheer up, we got you that fountain, just leave everything to me, I’ll keep this place afloat, you just get some good hibernation going before the cold catches up to you” Fubuki said.

Little Monster Miracle Orphanage (Day 26)

‘I got a good feeling about this year’s celebrations!” Katy said.

“I’m not…every time I get ask the same question…’are you going to dress up as Spider Gwen, and every time I remind them that her backside can’t hold a candle to mine…not to mention my bountiful bosom” Nirvana scoffed.

“Speaking of…who do you think will win in a fight!? I have high hopes for my Solid Snake!” Katy said.

“For the last time Katy, just because his name has the word ‘snake’ in it, doesn’t mean he is directly linked to them” Nirvana said.

“Well that’s easy, obviously Mr. Freeze is top dog! I mean, I don’t mean to brag, but me, and him are kind of complex characters so we can relate on that” Fubuki said.

“You are delusional Fubuki…given my time in the…*ahem*…craft I have deduced that Doctor Doom’s supperior intellect will trump any foe” Rin said.

“Same goes for you too Rin, just because his name has the word ‘doctor’ in it doesn’t mean-” Nirvana said.

“He has a PHD” Rin added.

“How about we have a little more fun with this…what do you say Rin?” Fubuki challenged.

“Very well…let us set the stage first though…no need for collateral damage” Rin said.

“Well at least you’re being civil about it.” Katy said.
