“Did I say puppy could speak?” her eyes wide in disbelief, ears perked up stiff, and her cheeks rosy red and tail wagging furiously.

“Buongiorno amore mio, have a good night sleep?” she hummed as she climbed over me, her chest in my face, “H-had a dream about you” I told her, my face barely sticking out from her cleavage and partially covered by her chest fluff. She lowered her head, “Were you running?” she grinned, “I bet I was chasing you wasn’t I? My sweet little coniglio”

Birth of a Wish

“There is no salvation for you,” the demon smirks from behind a gilded skull goblet.
Casey Logan fights to prove her wrong inside the salt strewn hellscape of the Akna Montes colony, alone. He clings to the hope of finding a ship in the last of the colony’s hangar bays. With a ship he can radio his separated men. With a ship they can escape together.
At the moment when the world ceases to make sense and the pillars that holding him up crumble into salt, will Casey feel the death of despair or the birth of a wish?

Not normally the sort of place one wants to visit, for business or pleasure. But for Comtesse Vanisa de Gwynn, a Satyros who doesn’t truly know what she wants from life, maybe it’s the perfect place?

Forced Freedom

Major Ashlynn Daray, Hero of the Crimson Wing Brigade unit: Aeria Gloris — “Heavenly Glory,” has managed to make her way back to base, sequestered within Royal Ravalia, a kingdom neighboring Lescatié, narrowly escaping capture at the hands of the ruthless mamono of Darkhaven.

… Except something feels missing. Wrong, somehow. Did she truly escape unscathed?

This story takes place in my original setting created for “Eyes in the Dark” and “Electrickery,” and was written as a speed-writing challenge with EighthSpan. The goal was to choose a subject matter for the other person and write what was given. I chose Inari, and was assigned Ropers. The Roper has not received much love, so I aimed to change that. I wrote this story in about 3 days, not including editing/proofreading. The goal was to keep the story at or under 20k words, which I failed miserably, coming in at over 31k. Oh, well.
