Selkie on the High Seas

My first commissioned work!

Sadly, I made the poor man wait a particularly long time for his story as he commissioned his story right before the lockdown and before I lost my job. I hope he enjoyed it regardless, and might commission me again in the future.

This story is in a non-MGE setting as specified by the commissioner and involves a pirate captain and a Selkie first-mate

The sea was a place of freedom. It was harsh and unforgiving, cruel and endless in its fury, but a place of freedom nonetheless. Even the most unknowledgeable of men, who had never spent a night in the sea’s storms and braved her endless waves knew of the sea as a place of beauty and mystery. Of romantic tales and adventure beckoning to all who saw her.

Some answered that call.

One such fellow was the man known as Captain Kendrick Caspian Crook. Known to his crew simply as Ken. He was a tall man, a smile on his face at all times. He was, like many of his crew, dark of skin and hair. Like his ship, he was strongly built, and with little to hide it. His chest bare underneath his vest, his hair shortly cut, and his face clean shaven. Though he was perhaps ten or twenty years younger than some of his older crewmates, none saw him as green behind the ears.

He had grown up on the seas, a cabin boy for a Britannian Captain when he was only nine. He had breathed the salty sea air of the ocean for nearly all his life, could count the months he’d been on land on one hand and have fingers left over. None on his ship surpassed his skill, though some of the older ones came close. Though, it was not his skill at reading stars or tying rope that made him Captain. No, it was something else, something you couldn’t truly measure.

“Captain! On the starboard side!”

Ken turned quickly, and saw a speck on the horizon, his smile grew wider. He plucked his spyglass from his pocket and brought it to his eye. The ship was double decked, triple-masted, a galleon to be sure. Ken could count twenty-four canons at its side. Which meant forty-eight altogether. It was a treasure ship alright, bound for home. And to cinch it, he spied the Royal Iberian flag swaying proudly in the wind.

“Captain, what are your orders?” questioned a feminine voice

Ken put away his spyglass and put a hand on his cutlass, swinging around to his men on deck. His first mate met his gaze, her own pearly whites gleaming in the sun.

She was tall for a woman, naturally pale but tanned and freckled thanks to her excessive time in the sun. Her hair was a sandy blonde, braided down her back and ending at her waist. And as always, she wore a peculiar sleeveless furred coat. No one ever knew why. She had had it when Ken had found her long ago, stranded on a beach by some other crew.

He’d asked her many a time what she’d been doing there, but he was rebuffed every time. Eventually, he dropped the line of questioning.

He smiled at her, and gave a thumbs up. They had worked together long enough that she knew what he meant by gesture alone.

“Alright men,” she cried, “Hoist the Jolly Rodger and let’s get to work!”

A shout of triumph rippled through the men, and the ship became alive with a purposeful fury. Ken flew to the armory, keys in hand. His men needed their weapons if they were to rob a treasure ship. His first mate joined him, a smile on her face and a bounce in her step.

“So Captain, what do you think awaits us this time?”

“Its Iberian. So probably gold stolen from the Sun People.”

She twerked her head to the side, a look of exaggerated sadness on her face.

“Oh no! Stolen gold? That’s terrible! I guess we ought to help them learn a lesson. Stealing is wrong, you know.”

Ken gave her a smirk.

“When it’s not us doing the stealing at any rate.”

She waved her hand in a dismissive fashion.

“Details, details. Do as I say and not as I do, yadda yadda yadda.”

“Speaking of doing as I say.” Ken said with a smirk as he unlocked the armory. “Get these weapons to the men. I need a cutlass on every hip and a pistol in every other hand.”

With a cheeky salute she smiled wide and nodded.

“Aye Aye Captain! Kiera is on the job!”

Ken left his bubbly first mate to it. He had other priorities. As his ship began the swift descent on the Iberian galleon, he began to bark orders. Taking on a galleon was suicide unless you knew what you were doing.

Luckily, he knew exactly what he was doing.

Captain Cervantes was the only man on his ship not in a panic. Word had spread from the crow’s nest. A pirate ship was on the horizon, and closing in fast. Never mind that they had over 40 cannons, the men shrank in fear at the mere description of the Jolly Roger.

A red kraken on a black flag. The flag of the infamous Kendrick Crook.

A swarthy pirate that was one of many in the Caribbean. But one that had gained infamy for seemingly impossible feats and success beyond what was normal. But that hardly mattered to Captain Cervantes. He was no coward to shrink at the hint of failure. He rose to every challenge. And for God and country, he would not lose his cargo to a filthy pirate.

He did not bark orders to his men, such things were beneath him. Instead, he withdrew a single pistol from his side, and pointed it into the air.

As the shot rang across the bow like thunder, the eyes of his crew happened upon him, their gazes fixed with fear.

“Crew, you can die like cowards. Or you can fight like men. As for me, I know what I will do. If you wish to continue chattering and clucking like chickens, please get out of the way of the men that will be headed to their stations. We have a pirate to kill.”

His speech was brief, but its effect was immediate. The crew of the Golden Goose began to man their stations, apprehension still on their faces, but nothing more. Cervantes walked along the deck, stroking his perfectly trimmed beard as he saw the pirates come closer and closer. They didn’t have the men to man every cannon. But they had enough.

“Sir,” his first mate saluted, “All men are at their stations! What are your orders?”

“Angle us broadside so we can pummel them as they approach. They’ll swing to the side, keep swerving us so they aren’t ever out of range. The men are to fire as the ship comes at range, at will.”

“Aye, Aye, Captain!”

With a fierce determination, Captain Cervantes unsheathed his cutlass and prepared for the worst.

Cannons roared and plumes of smoke filled the air as battle commenced. The Golden Goose was a spitfire of destruction. Water fell upon the deck of Ken’s ship as if it were raining the cannonballs came so close. But his ship was fast, much faster than their lumbering opponent.

The pirate’s ship swerved out of the range of the galleon at every turn, and it was only a few scant minutes before they got close enough for Ken to give the order.

“Hook the ship! Hook the ship!”

Dozens of ropes and metal hooks flew overboard and hooked the small pirate ship to her prey. The canons now pressed to the side of her enemy ceased firing as the men manning them quickly began to move up top to repel the attack.

Ken gave a smile to the battle. He stood along the railing with a rope in one hand, and a sword in the other.

His men swung over to the Golden Goose and began heaving walking planks overboard to connect the two ships. The battle truly began in earnest as a swarm of his men met sword to sword with the Iberians. He took a deep breath of the briny air as he prepared to swing over and lead his crew to victory. Just as he was about to, however, a whirlwind passed by him with a whoop. Kiera passed by him with her own cutlass in hand, her pistol firing into the melee with a booming crack.

He delayed no longer, swinging over to the melee himself, and dropped down into the fight. He immediately had to dodge a swipe to his head, and he retaliated with a back-handed smack to the shorter Iberian man’s face. He found Iberians good navy men, but their naturally shorter physiques made them easy to physically overpower.

He parried another attack as he sliced the enemy combatant’s arm and knocked him over with his superior size. The dance repeated a few more times before he saw his smaller first mate also tangling with three Iberians in red uniform. She seemed none too troubled by being outnumbered, and quickly dispatched them with superior speed and footwork. She always surprised him with her skill.

“Villainous cur!”

Ken turned in the nick of time to block a slash to his neck. An older bearded man in captain’s uniform scowled at him.

“You’re the captain of this ship, I presume?”

“You presume correctly, pirate filth. And you are Kendrick Crook, Captain of the Red Kraken.”

“I prefer to go by Ken. And what is your name, good sir?”

“I am Rodrigo Montoya Ernesto Escobar Cervantes, Captain of the Golden Goose and your killer.”

“That’s curious. I don’t remember dying.”

“The dead rarely do!”

The older man was quick with a blade, and Ken found himself making a concerted effort to keep the man from ending his life. Slash, parry, dodge, repeat… he had danced this dance before many times over, yet each partner brought new challenges. Captain Cervantes was not as quick as some younger men Ken had faced, but he didn’t have to be. No movement was wasted, no strike a mistake.

Ken fell back, avoiding the swords of other battles, and the debris rolling along the deck. Captain Cervantes followed, a mad gleam in his eye.

Strike after strike, parry after parry, the two fought with what seemed near equal skill. Though Ken never lost his smile. He looked about the fight and saw his crew was not having as easy a time as he was. An idea came to him, however, as the Iberian captain lunged once more.

“Well, Captain Cervantes, I have a proposition for you!”

“You’re in no condition to negotiate, pirate!”

“I think you’ll like my wager, Captain. Should I lose, my men will surrender to you.” He kicked the man away with a foot to his sternum. “Though should I win, your men will surrender to me. I promise no harm will come to them. My men lust for gold, not blood.”

“My men hunger for justice, filthy cur. Should you surrender, I will put your men to the sword.”

Ken only laughed. And then he spun around to his men, shouting, “Well, men! How about it! Me and the Captain, mano a mano! Loser’s crew surrenders to the winner!”

Cervantes saw his men pause along with the pirates, curiosity on their faces. Was their captain going to go along with this? They weren’t in a great position. The crew of the Golden Goose were wounded far more so than that of the Red Kraken. Taking the deal could actually prove beneficial. And, after all, it wasn’t like Cervantes would lose to some filthy pirate.

“Very well, dog. I take you up on your challenge.”

“Confident! I like that.”

A whistle blew, and Kiera hollered from the crowd.

“Kick butt, Captain!”

Ken merely gave a smirk to his elder opponent as he placed one hand behind his back, and pointed his sword forward.

Captain Cervantes lunged with lethal intent. Ken batted away the strike, only to find himself parrying another strike from above. Thrust, block, dodge, attack, the fight intensified and both combatants quickly gained the respect of their men. Ken was stronger, more agile, and quicker, but Captain Cervantes was not all talk. He responded to Ken’s attacks with the exact counterstrikes and a surprising knowledge of swordsmanship.

But his education was too formal, and he was not prepared for the cunning improvisation that a pirate was known for. Ken noticed that they fought atop several ropes that had been cut in previous skirmishes, and as Cervantes stepped over them, Ken kicked a few up and towards the older man’s legs. He stumbled only for a moment, but it was enough. Ken struck suddenly, and Cervantes’s blade flew from his hand and clattered to the floor.

Though he lunged for his blade, he was too slow, and Ken’s foot came down hard on the blade. Cervantes looked up from the deck, and found Ken’s cutlass pointed at him while a triumphant smile spread across the pirate captain’s face.

“Well then, I suppose you and your men best surrender.”

Cervantes looked for a moment as if he would defy the rules of their engagement, but after a tense moment and a deep scowl, he rose his hands and allowed himself to be tied up by members of Ken’s crew. Soon enough the other members of the Golden Goose followed their captain’s lead. Though none were pleased.

However, Ken kept his word and none were harmed. Though there were a few tussles as a few of the treasure ship’s crew rankled at being kept in bondage. Kiera quickly took charge and kept the peace, allowing Ken to lead his men into the bowels of the ship in search of treasure.

And find it they did.

Whatever artifacts the gold might have once been, it had been melted down and fashioned into hundred of thousands of gold coins. They filled chest after chest and row after row in the innards of the ship. Ken was awestruck at the number of chests alone, which must have numbered near a hundred. Next to him, Porky, a bald tanned man with a single tooth and an eye-patch gave a whistle.

“I ain’t never seen anythin’ like it Cap’n. Never. N’ I been doin’ this longer ‘n you was born.”

Another man moving past them to heave one of the chests away, agreed.

“Feels like I’m lifting a whole blasted cow! This is the best haul yet Captain!”

“And,” they were joined by Kierra, a smile on her freckled face. “Not a single causality on either side. You’ve pulled off a miracle Ken.”

The swarthy man only smiled with bright white teeth.

“Well its not like I work alone. We all did well. Now let’s get going before our gracious guests start to get fidgety. Don’t want to anger them, after all.”

Several of his men laughed as they brushed past him and started moving chests. Most of the chests were too heavy for a single man, but the treasures held within motivated the men to move quickly. Two men to a chest kept things moving smoothly.

As Ken suspected, seeing their cargo leave their ship agitated the crew of the Golden Goose, and so it was with great haste that they took what they came for, and set sail before the enemy crew could loose themselves and give chase.

Sometime afterwards, the motley crew of the Red Kraken found themselves ashore a tiny island that they used as base of operations. A giant roaring bonfire was lit along the shore as the pirates drank themselves silly with glee from what many considered their greatest accomplishment to date.

Ken smiled and returned all affections, though declined to join in the singing and occasional good-natured brawl. He was just happy to see his men happy, and to have his first-mate by his side.

Porky, the oldest member of his crew sat next to him in the sand.

“Ya did it again, Cap’n. Not a single causality, and ‘nough gold for every man to live the rest of his life in luxury. Naught more you can ask for.”

“Oh, I can think of a few things.” Ken said, that perpetual smile still on his face.

He looked about the firelight to catch the eye of his first mate, but didn’t spy her anywhere.

“Where’s Kierra?”

“The lass?” the wrinkled old Porky scratched his chin, “Saw her dancing on the beach all by ‘er lonesome. Dunna quite know what fer. Guess’n she missed land more ‘n the rest.”

“Maybe…” Ken’s mind wandered. Kiera had always been a rather strange individual. He had found her on a beach much like this one, abandoned by some crew with that strange coat the only thing she had.

“So, Cap’n… me ‘n the boys were wonderin’ something.”

“Oh? And what were you wondering?”

“You ‘n the first mate. All friendly-like… are ya both, er… you know.”

Ken shook his head.

“I wouldn’t mind it, but no. We’re not. She’s friendly, but there’s just this strange… aloofness to her that keeps that kind of thing from happening.”

The news seemed to surprise the old pirate by his side, his eyebrows comically arched in cartoonish shock.

“Hmm. Well what’da’ya know. The Cap’n ain’t got no balls.”

Ken rolled his eyes and stood up, stretching as he did so.

Porky looked up at him with a quirked eyebrow.

“Goin’ somewhere?”

“Yep.”

Ken provided no other information as he left his men to their celebrations and wondered off into the night.

Ken had often wondered what it might be like to be closer to Kierra. He was by far the closest to her in his crew, as she only seemed to be polite and cordial with the others. When he had picked her up on that lonely beach so long ago, with naught but coconuts and seals for company, he wasn’t surprised at her bashfulness. There were many tales of the brutality of pirates in these waters. Some was mere propaganda by the Iberians and Britannians. Other tales… well sad to say were true.

Ken had gone out of his way to pick out a crew who’s lust for gold didn’t equate to a lust for blood. And after a few weeks, Kierra had opened up to them. Or, him, rather. She had clung to him like a puppy for a long time, and he’d be lying to say he didn’t miss it somewhat. But a little teasing from the crew and she was quick to transform into her current unreadable self.

He found himself a ways from the fire, as all he heard were the waves lapping at the sands. No, wait. He could hear something else in the distance… barking?

It took Ken a moment to realize they were seals. Most islands were filled with them in this region.

Not feeling like going back to his crew just yet, he decided to saunter over. Besides, maybe Kierra was with them? He cleared a small sandy hill to find a cove covered in the barking creatures, some playing in the water and others simply gallivanting about. The ones closest to him stopped their barking for a few moments before resuming, apparently not finding him all that interesting.

Amused, Ken sat down to observe the seals in their private cove. They reminded him quite a bit of his crew.

One covered in scars reminded him of Lucas. Another, smaller than the rest reminded him of Jamal. Still another, old and wrinkled reminded him of Porky. The ones dancing in the surf reminded him of Kierra. Separate from the others, yet still part of the group.

One in particular, farther off than the rest, seemed a different coloration than the rest of gathering. The others were shades of brown and grey, but this one seemed a golden-brown in color. It was especially striking in the moonlight the way it twirled about. If any of these seals reminded him of Kierra it was that one.

He yawned, tired of the day’s trials. He wanted to find Kierra before he retired, so prepared to stand up and leave the seals be.

But before he could do so, the unique seal emerged from the waters and onto the beach, and Ken was treated to a display he’d never imagined or soon forget.

The seal in question, as it emerged from the waters caused the others to scramble away, giving it a wide berth. As it bounced up the beach, the other seals kept moving away, leaving a wide patch of sand around it like a stage. And then, as it slowed its journey, its skin began to ripple. Ken wasn’t sure what he was seeing as the skin of the seal began to expand, and then, all at once, it flew off like a blanket.

But rather than a shower of gore or a skinned seal, there stood in the seal’s place a beautiful nude woman, with the seal’s skin now in her hand. But then, with another motion, the skin became a furred coat. And with a flourish, the woman put it on.

It was only at that moment that Ken recognized the beautiful woman as his first mate, Kierra.

His eyes nearly bulged out of his skull, he was so in shock at what he was seeing. He wasn’t even sure what he was seeing. He had heard of mermaids living in these waters, of sea witches, and other unearthly things. But what manner of creature was this? A creature as beautiful as Kierra, that could shift between the form of a seal and a woman?

But while those thoughts certainly were in his head. There was another much more powerful thought.

Kierra was beautiful.

Her taut sun-kissed skin was flawless, and the moonlight shimmered across her body in titillating fashion. Her hair cascaded down her back, tousled in the wind in erotic display. He had admired her form out of the corner of his eye many a time. But he had never before stared so openly, drank in her form so deeply, and adored her so nakedly.

She hadn’t noticed him at all amongst the darkness of night, his form blended in with the dark forms of the seals about him, and as she sauntered towards a nearby rock that had her clothes laid out, she unintentionally gave ken quite the show. Her breasts, normally bound, were free and jiggling. Their large curvaceous forms, normally hidden, were revealed in all their glory.

Ken had always thought Kierra beautiful, but only now did he truly see her as the beauty she was.

He made to position himself in such a way to get a better look, but as he did so, a rock underfoot gave way, and the sand beneath him gave out. A small avalanche of sand gave his position away.

With a start, Kierra snapped her head in Ken’s direction, and locked eyes with him.

There was a tense few seconds.

And then Kierra screamed.

In a panic, she left her clothes behind and ran back towards the sea. Ken, not wanting her to mistake his intentions, and thinking she might not have realized who he was, chased after her.

“Kierra! Kierra it’s me!”

But she didn’t slow down. Instead she removed her coat and began to wrap it around herself again. Her form shifted, and Ken could see her begin to change as she hit the water’s surface.

But Ken was fast, his long legs carrying him quickly to his first mate’s side. He grabbed her and took the coat away, trying to stop her from changing. It worked too. As he took the coat from her grasp, her form returned to normal. But her struggling only intensified as she grabbed at her coat in a frenzy.

“Let me go! Let me go! Don’t look at me!”

“Kierra, relax it’s me! I’ll give it back if you promise not to run away!”

“No! Give it back! Please! I’m sorry, I’ll never come back again, okay? Just give it back!”

“Never come back?! Kierra, why are you acting like this? I promise I won’t tell anyone else, if that’s what you want, but please don’t kick yourself out of the crew! We need you!” There was a slight pause. “I need you.”

Kierra calmed for a moment, and turned to him, confusion on her face.

“Wait, you aren’t mad?”

It was Ken’s turn to wear confusion, as he responded incredulously.

“Why would I be mad? I’m… surprised, to be sure. Not a little bit dazed, and all around bewildered. But not mad.”

Kierra relaxed her body, and Ken let her go. Though he kept the coat away from her regardless.

“You… you don’t care that I’m a selkie?”

“I don’t even know what that is.”

She shifted on her foot, her eyes downcast.

“Its why you found me on this beach so long ago.”

“What do you mean?”

Kierra took a step back, her eyes looking up to his shimmering with tears. Ken had never seen her like this. No matter what kind of danger they’d faced, She’d faced it with a smile. It was odd seeing her with anything other than a broad smile. Seeing her on the verge of tears pulled at Ken’s heart deeply.

“Back before we met… I lived in the Emerald Isles. I boarded a ship to come here, to the Columbias. Things were getting dangerous there for people like me. A selkie… what I am, was seen as an evil omen. It wasn’t always that way. But a famine came. A terrible one. And people were looking for someone to blame.

“The merrows, the selkies, creatures of all kinds were blamed for misfortune after misfortune. I fled the persecution by boarding a boat, and I was careful to never reveal myself for fear of being killed. But I was stupid one night. And I wanted desperately to swim in the surf. One night I risked it, and I was discovered almost immediately. The other passengers were close to killing me, until a priest convinced them to simply maroon me here.”

“And that’s when I found you?”

“Aye. That’s when we met. You were the first Columbian I’d ever met.” She batted away a long strand of hair as she smiled slightly. “You were the first person to ever invite me anywhere, too.”

“Wow that’s sad.”

“Oh really?” She laughed through her tears. “And here I thought I was crying for fun.”

Ken embraced her, and held her tightly. Her tears flowed freely, but all that emerged from her throat was laughter.

“Kierra, all you’ve ever brought me is good fortune and companionship. I don’t care what you are. You’re amazing all the same.”

“So, the turning into a seal thing… doesn’t frighten you?”

“Frighten? No. But honestly, I don’t think its quite sunk in yet. Its amazing, I know that much.”

Kierra looked up at him with sparkling eyes, her smile returned.

“You really think I’m amazing?”

Ken met her smile with his own.

“I always have.”

For a long moment, there was quiet. The ebb and flow of the surf the only noise, the radiance of the moon the only light. Ken was not easily flustered or silenced. But the way Kiera was looking at him, she seemed an angel. He felt the beating of his heart more greatly at that moment than any fight he’d ever had.

He hesitated only a moment longer before he kissed her.

How long had he wanted to do that? The day he’d first met her? The day after? He’d held himself back for so long, out of a desire to be decent. A desire to be a good man. But as he kissed her, his pent up desires poured into her and she surprised him by returning those desires tenfold. She was not a passive receiver of his affections, but an active recipient.

She pressed her body deeply into his, her voluptuous naked form rubbing against his bare chest as her tongue danced with his. He embraced her once more, tightly and firmly, his hands wandering across her wonderfully sculpted back and rear. He admired her form with his hands as mush as his eyes. He’d never met a woman as beautiful as her. He suspected he never would.

Their kiss ended far too soon for his liking, as she pulled away to take a deep breath.

“I… can’t believe it.” She panted. “I was so sure you’d hate me if you knew.”

“The way I see it,” Ken replied, “having a selkie on board gave us good luck.”

She laughed once more as she wiped her final tears away with the palm of her hand.

“You didn’t even know what a selkie was.”

“But I know who you are.” He kissed her again.

“You know,” she said with a flirtatious tone, “Its rather common for selkie women to be taken by human men who snatched their pelts. Forever trapping them ashore to be their wives.”

Without even thinking, Ken gave her her coat back. However, she didn’t take it, as he thought she would. Instead she pouted, and hit him playfully.

“Hey! What was that for?”

“You dummy. I was trying to be romantic.”

Ken smiled and quirked his brow.

“Oh? You want to be… taken is that it?”

Even in the scant light of the night, he saw the whisper of a blush on her face.

“Maybe~”

It didn’t take much more to convince Ken. She was beautiful, naked, and had practically asked for him to take her. No more words were necessary, and so he spoke no longer. No matter what matter of strange creature she may be, she was still Kierra, his close companion, first mate, and the most amazing woman he’d ever known.

He kissed her once more in animalistic need and rough sexual fervor. His hands continued to explore her, as he let her trademark coat fall to the sands below. He gripped her soft supple flesh, smooth and warm. She reciprocated, her dainty hands trailing his shoulders, his chest, his waist. Soon he felt his vest drop to the sands beside her coat, and not long after his trousers met the same fate.

Kierra paused slightly as she saw her first naked man. Ken was a well-built man, tall and wiry, lean muscle and dark skin. The cock between his legs was already hardened and ready to proceed. She could feel the blood rush to her cheeks, and butterflies in her stomach.

Ken, patient but eager to continue, placed a hand between her legs, as his other returned her eyes to his. He kissed her once more as he massaged her twitching slit, wet not with seawater, but anticipation. Her brain began to fog with lust, and Ken felt his own faculties begin to cloud. He was ready, she was ready. He wanted to delay no longer.

With a heave, he picked her up with no resistance and laid her down upon their clothes, revealing her glorious torso for him as she spread her legs and kept her arms wrapped about him. His cock twitched with delight as he angled it for its ultimate destination.

He slid in slowly, as to acclimate her, but she seemed to have reached her limit as well. Her legs wrapped around his waist as she met his eyes. With her trademark smile, she pulled him in.

She felt as wonderful as she looked, tight, hot and dripping wet. He nearly came right then and there. He let out a gasp, and Kierra found that she quite enjoyed hearing him make such a noise.

Ken, like many men at sea, found a burning in their loins that ultimately they had to quash and tolerate until they could find some relief at port. Having a woman on board a ship actually only made it worse. Seeing those luscious lips, those sparkling eyes, those long tresses, those seductive hips and long legs… it only drove men more mad. It had driven him mad.

And he could contain his madness no longer.

Ken began wildly thrusting, his cock pumping in and out with a lustful fury that caught Kierra by surprise. She began to let out her own moans, thoughts of teasing Ken further now erased from her mind. His rough calloused hands roamed over her body, pawing at her large voluptuous breasts and cupping her sweet tender face.

The two of them, close friends for so long, felt a deeper bond connect them. Something beyond the carnal pleasure they were experiencing. The cool night wind that cooled their sweaty bodies, the rough sand that stuck to them, the sounds of the sea and the seals about them all seemed to dull and magnify at once.

Though Ken had done it many times before, His dark brown eyes met with Kierra’s bright twinkling gaze, and he felt a surge of pleasure within him greater than any simple orgasm.

He kissed her and embraced her tightly as he filled her with his seed and a euphoria overcame him. She wrapped her legs and arms about him, a surge of orgasmic pleasure overcoming her as well.

Though that was hardly the end, as Kierra quickly turned Ken over, and began to show her own dominant side.

Neither party was aware however, of the audience some 100 yards away past the seals and rocks.

“Well waddaya know. Cap’n and the first mate ‘er goin’ at it like rabbits.”

Porky and the rest of the crew not black-out drunk, looked at the two with smiles on their faces. None had the least bit of modesty or shame at seeing their captain and first mate in carnal union. However, there were many exchanging coin. One tall and dusky individual tapped Porky on the shoulder.

“Pay up, Porky. You said ain’t nothing was happenin.”

“Sex ain’t something!”

“How about the fact she’s a seal-woman?”

The old man grumbled as he fetched a coin from his pocket.

“Anyone else think that strange?” one of the younger men asked. Yet his cry went unheard.

Kierra dodged the latest crew member to approach her with a dainty swirl on the heel of her foot.

She had been avoiding them all the entire morning. Apparently, they’d seen her and Ken last night, and her secret origins had become known. Rather than anger or ostracism as she had long feared, however. They only seemed curious.

Annoyingly curious.

Can you talk seal? Are you a seal pretending to be a woman or a woman pretending to be a seal? Are selkies born with their coat or is it grown? If you’re from the Emerald Isles, why don’t you have an accent? Do you have a sister? Is she single?

The questions came hard and fast, unrelentingly. While she was very happy to find that her long held fear of abandonment by her friends was baseless… she found herself wishing it had remained secret anyway.

She jumped up along the railings of the Red Kraken and headed for the one man not asking her a million questions.

Standing tall and proud at the helm was her man, her friend, and her lover. Ken greeted her with a hug as she jumped down to him, and kissed him on the nose.

“Well, Captain, are we ready to set sail?”

“Aye. We are.”

Looking up in admiration of his captain and first mate was one of the many young men that crewed the Red Kraken. He smiled, happy for the both of them. Yet, there was a thought that crept into his mind.

“So really, we’re all just moving past the seal thing?”

But just as the previous night, no one answered him. So he shrugged and leaned over the rails, an altogether different thought entering his mind. He closed his eyes and nestled his head in his arms.

“I sure wish I had myself a girl as pretty as Kierra. Being at sea so long sure does make a fella lonesome.”

A splashing noise beneath him, followed by a feminine giggle caused him to open his eyes in curiosity.

“Hey there, sailor. Heard you were lonesome?”
