So, apparently there’s a new source of power newly discovered. Or something. Cutting edge.

Yeah, what a crock.

This story is the second installment of my original setting, Darkness Prevails.
I suggest reading the first one, Eyes in the Dark, first, as there are spoilers here for that story.

My personal trainer in Swords, is Sergeant Andra. She’s a widowed Salamander here at the Fort. She assists in many of the Rescue missions that Fort Eequor engages in. She’s told me that when I become a Yokai Second Class, that I’ll be fitted for some battle armor and get a Demon-Silver Sword. I look forward to that, because I want to be in the First.

A few feel that they have nowhere to go because their men are dead, and they have children to take care of as well; they don’t want to be a burden on their extended families, so what can they do? The Overlord’s Army will take them in.

(This is something I whipped up for a “Monster Girl School Stories” thread on 8chan /monster/ a while back. Turned out well enough that I thought it worth adding here.)

David McDavidson is in a bastard of a situation. Ripped away from his Australian home after his father’s department closed, he has to learn to come to terms with living in the monster-filled country of Zipangu, as well as the presence of his father’s new wife. Along the way he’ll learn about life, love, sadness and HOLY SHIT YES IT’S ESSENTIALLY A SEINEN ANIME RIP-OFF. Just have a read.
