Unfortunately, the majority of this world is in thrall to a heavily Theocratic and Xenophobic, governmental organization known as, “The Order”. All of this world’s countries appear to be heavily influenced by a number of super-human entities, locally referred to as “Gods”.
My science officer has theorized that these entities appear to be similar in nature, to the one that Captain Kirk reportedly encountered a century ago, on Stardate 3468.1 in the Beta-Geminorum system.
The two most notable of the entities here, are the “Chief God’ and the “Great Maou’. Apparently, these two entities have been engaged in a sporadic war of attrition against each other, for several centuries. The details of which, are confusing.

I remember back from my childhood, a girl. There’s not a lot I remember about her, though. I vaguely remember her hair color and her name forever escapes me. But, out of all the things I do remember of her, are her eyes. She had amethyst eyes that looked both piercing and loving at the same time. Seems to be the most I remember of her.

The only other detail I can remember is that we played together as children. No further details other than us laughing and having fun. I guess her smile is another thing I remember but I wish I could remember more.

Right now is the last winter before I graduate high school. The temperature has been pretty cold lately and we might actually have snow this holiday. Sadly, there’s someone I know who probably isn’t enjoying this weather very much. A Dragon by the name of Seryn, a senior like me, is not very fond of the cold weather. Not that she would outright admit it, though.

I’m enjoying my winter break at home watching T.V., parents are out so I have the house to myself, when there’s a knock at the door. And speaking of the devil, or in this case Dragon, Seryn is standing there bundled up in a big coat, scarves, and other winter attire that make it look like she was going hiking in a blizzard.

“Hey, Seryn, what are you doing here?” I ask.

What a day. Today was super busy at work so I’m running late getting home. Doesn’t help that I forgot to call my wife until pretty much just now. It also so happens that my phone is dead, so I’m sure she was trying to call me the whole time. She’s not going to be happy when I get home.

I pull up to our place and step out into the brisk night. I take one last deep breath before walking in.

“Where the hell have you been?” an annoyed sounding voice asks right as I step in. In the entry way, with her paws on her hips, was my Hellhound wife.
