After taking in the helpful criticisms from you guys, I re-uploaded a popular story from my past to put your advice to good use before going back to my main Orphanage Setting. As always Enjoy, and thank you for all the help, and support, and constructive criticism! They really helped a lot.

A lone Gunslinger finds himself broke, and stuck in a land opposite of his own…

“What are you going to do then?” Arawn demanded testily of her. The Jenny-unit lifted her head and looked at him neutrally.
“As per my programming, any non-human threats will be exterminated, *bzzt*.” She intoned, then paused as if in thought.
“Please remain still while I commence your extermination, *bzzzt*.”

Part of a Series. Mamono are primarily a monogamist society, rare is it that a man would find himself in a situation where two of them are vying for his affection. Rarer still is it that these mamonos are natural enemies not inclined to share…these are their stories

Recently the succubi Shinobi and the undead Samurai had no reason to come to blows being that they are summarily now both monsters and technically on the same side but one cannot simply dispel centuries of bad blood for something as trivial as a monster transformation. And truly the old enemies had found new ways to hinder and antagonize each other such as an Ochimusha protecting her master from being ‘assassinated’ or a Kunoichi absconding away with the one chosen as a master.

And so, the cycle continues.

Never Truly Forgotten

I remember back from my childhood, a girl. There’s not a lot I remember about her, though. I vaguely remember her hair color and her name forever escapes me. But, out of all the things I do remember of her, are her eyes. She had amethyst eyes that looked both piercing and loving at the same time. Seems to be the most I remember of her.

The only other detail I can remember is that we played together as children. No further details other than us laughing and having fun. I guess her smile is another thing I remember but I wish I could remember more.

‘Great Maou! It’s just one Damned Thing after another!’, Helvetia thought to herself at the controls of her Teleportation Platform (#11).
Tia took a quick break while her platform ran its automatic internal self-diagnostic. Looking over at Sundia’s platform, she saw that a pair of Red Oni, were having trouble keeping their own newly teleported Damned Thing under control. ‘It’s good to see I’m not the only one having to deal with these obnoxious creatures!’ None of the Damned Things cared for the Teleportation process and let everyone and everything around them know about it.

She has her textbook sized artbook out. I notice a stylized black rose on the cover before she opens it to the picture of the buxom woman with feline ears, bat wings and a scorpion-like tail that I had seen earlier.

“Seru was an Imperial Alchemist with the royal court of Vamore before I annexed the kingdom. Now she’s a confident and clever Manticore….”

“Manic Ore?”

“Manticore.” Mari corrects. “A beast whose cunning, beauty and lust rivals even that of my lilim sisters.”

She turns the page and I’m greeted by the striking image of a woman with charcoal grey flesh, wolf’s ears and an eye with dark sclera similar to Mari’s. In her portrait, she seems to be looking at me with a toothy grin, complete with even sharper and more prominent canines than Mari. There appeared to be a mane of dark fur around her neck

As I look behind me to see if Mari is following, I’m startled as I turn and see a dark shadow racing along the ground suddenly enveloping me. It’s Mari- she’s gliding down off of the rock with her wings spread and back to the sun, swooping right in on me with a wide grin. For a second, she looks like something out of a Bram Stoker novel. I reflexively stumble a few feet backwards.

“Shit! She was just play-acting as this confused, free-spirited traveller so I’d let my guard down!” is my first thought as I absently reach for a rather empty spot along my belt before realizing that I left the .357 back in the truck.

Mari hit the ground and took two running strides towards me before slowing up. However, instead of

”Holy shit- wouldn’t that be hilarious if this was Dolores’ Woman in White?” I chuckled as I drew closer and closer to the roadside figure. Despite the supernatural discussion earlier at the bar earlier, I initially assumed I was looking at a stranded or disoriented motorist. However, the closer I got the less whimsical the situation appeared. For starters, she was walking away from town and seemingly towards the distant wildfire.

Her face was partially obscured by a large white summer hat ringed with what looks like roses along the brim- the pattern broken up by something dark above each temple. For some reason, the pale figure reminded me of some of the pictures I’ve seen of the beautiful and photogenic women who show up at the Kentucky Derby on race day. There was something on her back- from a distance I thought it might have been
